Crystal Pop
A lollipop featuring Baccarat’s traditional characteristic flat-cuts Harcourt glass, for Baccarat by ECAL / Fumiko Ito

The project was a celebration of Baccarat’s Harcourt glass’s 170 years anniversary in 2011. Its design has never been changed since it was created. It has become a classic of the diplomatic world, used on the table of Napoleon III to that of Jean-Paul II.

Crystal pop, a fusion between Harcourt glass and lollipop was inspired by their making process. The beauty of crystal and candy are both born in fire, also have a lot of similarities on making, coloring and decorating techniques.

It was gifted at Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan 2011 and spread a happy aspect of Baccarat’s history through traditional sweet treats.
